Capuchin Tanker (M35A3) from Mercenaries 2: World in Flames (demo version) for GTA San Andreas by Dark Watcher.

Summary

1. What is the mod?

2. How to install the mod?

3. Notes

1 WHAT IS THE MOD?

The mod is a conversion of Capuchin Guntruck from Mercenaries 2: World in Flames (demo version). Both the model and the texture are original, taken directly from the game. I did the ripping myself and made sure to assemble the vehicle according to the original parts arrangement seen in Mercenaries 2: World in Flames (demo version).

Originally, in Mercenaries 2: World in Flames (demo version), the truck has a .50 machine gun (used by the cabin gunner). Obviously, in GTA San Andreas, it is not possible to use said weapon.

Apparently, the model was inspired by the real-life M35A3 truck.

2 HOW TO INSTALL THE MOD?

The process is as follows:

1. Open Alci's IMG Editor (or another Img edit program);

2. Open gta3.img (with the program mentioned above);

3. Click on "Import (remove if exists)";

4. Select "barracks.dff" and "barracks.txd" (my mod);

5. When both "barracks.dff" and "barracks.txd" are already inside gta3.img, click "Save".

The mod comes with a "handling.cfg" file which serves to increase the vehicle's performance and make it work similarly to what is seen in Mercenaries 2: World in Flames (demo version). To install this file, just follow the steps described below:

1. Enter the "data" folder which is located in the directory (main folder) of your GTA San Andreas;

2. Delete the "handling.cfg" file or move it somewhere (if you want to keep it as a backup);

3. Extract the "handling.cfg" file which is in the "Import to data" folder (my mod);

4. Move the "handling.cfg" file to the "data" folder which is located in the directory (main folder) of your GTA San Andreas.

For the truck wheels to be in normal size, place the "vehicles.ide" file in the "data" folder which is located in your GTA San Andreas directory. Briefly, the process is as follows:

1. Enter the "data" folder which is located in the directory (main folder) of your GTA San Andreas;

2. Delete the file "vehicles.ide" or move it somewhere (if you want to keep it as a backup);

3. Extract the "vehicles.ide" file that is in the "Import to data" folder (my mod);

4. Move the file "vehicles.ide" to the folder "data" which is located in the directory (main folder) of your GTA San Andreas.

If you have Mod Loader and don't want to replace the "handling.cfg" and "vehicles.ide" files, place the "Capuchin Tanker" folder inside the "modloader" folder. This will ensure the vehicle functions properly and the wheels are the correct size. In short, the process is as follows:

1. Extract the "Capuchin Tanker" folder from the "Import to modloader" folder (my mod);

2. Move the "Capuchin Tanker" folder to the "modloader" folder, which is located in the main folder of your GTA San Andreas.

3 NOTES

The model has realistic collision.

The headlights and taillights work.

The doors open and close in the same way as seen in Mercenaries 2: World in Flames (demo version).

The bonnet of the truck opens and closes.

The bumper is destructible.

The detailed interior has been preserved.

CJ is perfectly positioned in the cab.

The passenger in the cabin can shoot enemies with his own weapon and not with the .50 machine gun.

The model has perfect stability and agility on any terrain.

I would like to thank you for downloading my mod. If you are a fan of Mercenaries 2: World in Flames (demo version) or have already played it, i hope you have fun and relive nostalgic moments of the game. If you are not a fan or have not yet played, in the same way, i hope you have fun with this addition to your GTA SA, causing chaos and among other things hehe.
